We've always been big fans of old-time pin-up art (yes, it is art), especially the work of Rolf Armstrong, Earl MacPherson, Billy DeVorss, and, of course, the undisputed king of capturing the provocative pose, Alberto Vargas. The in-your-face sexuality of modern society, however, left little room for the enticing subtleties of this long-overlooked art form--or so we thought. A few years back, an exceptional talent who simply signed her work "Olivia" burst on the scene and the pin-up genre hasn't been the same since. We first discovered her work in two stunning art books, Let Them Eat Cheesecake (its cover shot may be the greatest pin-up picture ever--bar none!) and Cheesecake Chronicles, in which Marilyn Monroe body double Rhonda Ridley is the model for many of the sketches.
