If Jane's F/A-18 was first in the line-up of tomorrow's jets (Digital Marketplace, National Defense Magazine, May 2000, p.40), then get ready for Interplay's Super Hornet.

This high-resolution game offers the simulation pilot with viable moving-control features, fantastic cockpit views, and many extras that include carrier deck operations. You say that Jane's did that? But consider that, in Super Hornet, you wait your turn to approach the catapult, watch other planes line up and take off, and even see the steam from the catapult release as they snap into the air ahead of you. Now that's realism!

Add to this, the launch crews sending real hand-signals to you, the pilot. The cockpit is completely interactive with realistic, switch-operated functions, from flap controls to the brightness dials on the instrument displays. Switches and dials operate exactly like the real aircraft controls. The landing signal officer even uses real signals for the touchdown.

There are over 40 combat missions in two geographic locations (Barents Sea and Indian Ocean--get out your geography book). All weather conditions are included--to add that touch of stress to your flight.
