PIANY 1995 Legislative Program Aims At W.C., Auto Insurance.

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Workers' compensation reform, tiered rating and supplemental uninsured motorist (SUM) coverage will head up the Professional Insurance Agents of New York State Inc. (PIANY) action list for the 1995 legislative year, according to PIANY President Jeffrey H. Greenfield.

Workers' compensation. PIANY will be working for changes to contain workers' compensation costs, in cooperation with the New York Compensation Action Network (NYCAN) coalition and the Business Council of New York State Inc. Key items are legislative reform of the Dole vs. Daw principle and the expansion of employers' flexibility to pay directly for minor injuries under Section 110 of the Workers' Compensation Law.
