Philadelphia and Harrisburg Chapters present scholarships.

A cherished tradition of the Philadelphia and Harrisburg Chapters is to award scholarships to seven outstanding candidates selected from local universities. Scholarships for the 2013-2014 year were recently awarded. As in past years, the two Chapters pooled their resources in an effort to reach more candidates with larger scholarships.

To be considered for a scholarship, a candidate must be a Junior or Senior Accounting or Business major who is considering a career in the Tax field. Candidates also must maintain a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate significant accomplishments such as being named to an accounting honor society or earning an academic award.

This year's recipients are Katie McCollum (West Chester University), Jennifer Flannery (Villanova University), Nicholas Colubriale (Saint Joseph's University), Megan Kennard (Widener University), Angelo DiSalvo (LaSalle University), Victoria Chau (Drexel University), and Kathleen Smith (Temple University).
