Philadelphia and Harrisburg Chapters Present Scholarships.

The Philadelphia and Harrisburg Chapters recently awarded 2012-2013 scholarships to six outstanding candidates selected from local universities. A seventh scholarship recipient will be announced in the spring. As in past years, the two Chapters pooled their resources in an effort to reach more candidates with larger scholarships.

To be considered for a scholarship, a candidate must be a Junior or Senior Accounting or Business major who is considering a career in the Tax field. Candidates also must maintain a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate significant accomplishments such as being named to an accounting honor society or being the recipient of an academic award.

This year's recipients are Ogden Mitchell (Drexel University), Paula Pilipovic (Villanova University), Patricia Oswald (LaSalle University), Jaclyn Marie Keller (St. Joseph's University), Justin Blackwell, (Widener University), and Rachel Daviduk, (West Chester University).

Each candidate was awarded $1,500, making the Philadelphia/ Harrisburg scholarship program one of the most generous within TEI. Since 1998, the joint Philadelphia/Harrisburg program has awarded nearly $160,000 to 81...
