We riot at the bottom of the mountain. We raise our signs. Our voices hurtle upward and hit the window, Ineffective as rat-shot or messenger pigeons because there are only two of us. The others never show up. When the man comes out, checks a nuclear sunset, he yells, Why are you doing this? We throw our signs, and the ivy on his house withers black. The sky crumples.
