Peter Diessner, a real estate attorney and grandson of Kraus-Anderson founder Lloyd Engelsma, is the new president of Minneapolis-based Kraus-Anderson Realty Co. & Kraus-Anderson Development Co.Diessner takes over from Dan Engelsma, who is retiring after 50 years with the company, Kraus-Anderson said in a press release. Engelsma had been president and COO of KA Realty since 2000.

Michael Hille, executive vice president of KA Realty & KA Development, will continue to oversee day-to-day operations of the two companies, Kraus-Anderson said.

Diessner joined Kraus-Anderson Financial Services Group Inc. in May 2018 as director. He was named vice president in February.Kraus-Anderson Financial Services Group works with KA Development to provide financial resources for KA interests and partners.

Diessner oversawthe financial analysis, underwriting, due diligence, and sourcing and funding of debt and equity for Kraus-Anderson's "existing and prospective portfolio of real estate," the company said.

Previously, Diessner was a real estate attorney at Fredrikson& Byron and at Speeter & Johnson. He received his J.D. from the WilliamMitchell College of Law and his B.A. in financial economics from Gustavus...
