With regard to Laura M. Colarusso's article about Univision anchor Jorge Ramos ("The Anchor," May/June 2012), this story falls for two predominant fallacies about Latinos in the United States.

The first is that Hispanics are homogeneous. They're not; it's a very fractured ethnicity among races, nationalities, geographies, and generations. A good example is how an older Cuban from New Jersey would vote as opposed to a compatriot in Miami.
