Career Moves of Utah's Decision Makers

Salt Lake City-based Consonus Inc. announced the appointment of STEVEN C. EROR as president and CEO. Eror previously served as vice president and CFO in the company, where he made a significant contribution to the formation of Consonus. Eror has held management positions with Ford Motor Co., Air Products and Chemicals Inc., and Guardian Industries Inc., where he was instrumental in developing, organizing and financing successful joint ventures in Venezuela, Thailand, Hungary, Spain, India, Luxembourg and China.

L CARVEL WHITING has been appointed by Intermountain Health Care (IHC) as vice president of information systems and chief information officer. Whiting has worked with IHC in various leadership capacities since 1994. Prior to that, he was senior vice president of information systems and services and chief information officer for First Health Strategies in Salt Lake City. He also worked as an information technology consultant for the University of Utah, Sav-On Drug Stores and Hughes Aircraft.

MIKE BAHR has joined Altius Health Plans as vice president of planning and development. Bahr was previously chief actuary and assistant vice president for Intermountain Health Care. Bahr is well known for his actuarial expertise and candid perspective on Utah's insurance market among health insurance brokers, the Department of Insurance and other state policy makers. His advice is sought regularly by lawmakers trying to understand the impact of proposed health insurance legislation.

SOS Staffing Services Inc. announced that KEVIN HARDY has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer. Hardy replaces Brad Stewart, who has resigned to pursue other business opportunities. For the past nine years, Hardy has been associated with publicly-held MKR Holdings/Marker International and subsidiaries, most recently as chief financial officer and vice president of administration of Marker International. Hardy is a certified public accountant with over 14 years of financial, accounting and business experience.

TOM MORGAN, corporate manager at Mansell & Associates, has been appointed to a five-year term on the Utah State Real Estate Commission by Gov. Mike Leavitt. The five-member commission serves as the regulatory committee for a variety of issues related to the real estate industry including licensing, fees, hearings and standards of conduct. Morgan has been at Mansell & Associates for 14 years.
