I received my February issue of The Progressive today, and I wish to give a huge thanks to Dave Zirin for his sports column regarding the Penn State football debacle ("Penn State and Other Fiefdoms," February issue). His thoughts on this topic are right on target. I went to a Big Ten school that has almost always had an abysmal football record, yet the worship of the team and the sport went unabated.
