Locally owned and operated PenAir has reached a milestone in its history. The airline is celebrating 50 years of aviation service in Alaska. In 1955, Orin Seybert was 18 years old when he started the company, flying medivacs for the Dillingham hospital in a two-seat Taylorcraft. Over the past 50 years, PenAir has grown, serving all of Southwestern Alaska, the Aleutians and the Pribilof Islands.
