The present volume seeks to give voice to long-silenced Pelusium on the model provided by the Corpus des inscriptions d'gypte inaugurated in 1953 by Etiene and Andre Bernand. The author begins by reviewing the modern literature on Pelusium beginning in 1879 and includes other sites in this eastern quadrant of the Delta in order to clarify geographic misunderstandings about, and incorrect identifications of, this site with others in its immediate area. The main focus of the volume appears to be twofold. On the one hand, it seeks to serve as a handy compilation of ancient Greek sources relating to the site.
