Number of States Involved in the National MAP Survey Reaches All-Time High

This year, 46 states across the nation are participating in the 2003 PCPS/TSCPA National MAP Survey, reflecting increased awareness among state societies and accounting firms of the importance of this benchmarking tool. Because of this record state participation level, the survey will be an effective source of competitive intelligence for even more firms across the country this year. In October, firms taking part in the survey will receive a detailed customizable report that can rank the firm with others based on location, size of firm, compensation, or level of profitability as well as on other factors. In addition, state-specific reports and a national report will be available to participants. PCPS members will receive survey results at no cost.

The survey will run until August 22. This year, the survey is being sponsored by Aon Insurance Services, the broker and administrator for the AICPA Insurance Programs.

For more information on completing the survey, a sample report and answers to frequently asked questions, simply go to www.pcps.org and click on the "2003 National MAP Survey" logo on the left side of the screen.
