PATENT INTEREST GROUP

The Patent Interest Group provides both education and connection between members of the State Bar Intellectual Property Section who live and work in the world of patents. The Patent Interest Group enables our membership throughout California to hear qualified and unique speakers, hold discussions on relevant topics and learn through structured presentations.

The Patent Interest Group also holds teleconferences providing access to dynamic speakers on topics of interest to patent practitioners. On August 19, the group will host a program "Octane Fitness & Highmark—The Supreme Court Eases the Standard for Recovering Attorney's Fees in Patent Cases" presented by Sarah Brooks. In April the group hosted a program entitled "Litigating Patent Damages: The Art and Science Behind Post-Judgment Royalties" presented by Karen Weil. Both programs are available for viewing online...
