Donald. W. Schroeder, former CalCPA president, passed away March 30. He was 95. After he graduated from business school at the University of Wisconsin in 1943, Schroeder attended the Naval Midshipmen's School in Chicago, receiving his commission as an ensign later that year. He served as an anti-submarine warfare officer until his discharge in 1946. He then joined Price Waterhouse at Chicago and met his wife, Mary, who also worked there. In 1954, Schroeder and Mary moved to San Francisco, where he joined Lybrand, Ross Bros. & Montgomery. He was admitted to the partnership in 1959.
