Air passenger traffic at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport increased over the period of one year. In August 2004, 649,171 passengers traveled through the Anchorage International Airport, compared to 614,657 passengers just one year prior. This increase suggests an almost 6 percent growth in the number of air passengers traveling through the Anchorage airport. Interestingly, 674,053 air passengers traveled through this airport in July 2004.

The Fairbanks International Airport experienced a more than 11 percent growth in the period of one year. In August 2004, 119,293 passengers traveled through the Fairbanks International Airport, compared to just 107,016 passengers in August 2003. Over 121,000 passengers traveled through the Fairbanks airport in July 2004.
