After a fruitful 1998 of splendiferous Latin music from local musicians and visits from mayor international stars, the last year of this century has crept in slowly but the music scene looks promising as we enter the month of February.

The Conga Room, LA's premiere Latin music and dance supper club, will be celebrating their first anniversary on Thursday, February 18, with a reception headlined by Latin music legend Tito Puente. In less than a years time, the Conga Room has established itself as the foremost venue for Latin music in the city of Los Angeles and one of the primary live music clubs on the West Coast. Since its inauguration last year, the club has showcased some of the leading Latin music acts from Cuba, Puerto Rico, New York, Miami, and Los Angeles. The elegant club features a 4,000 square foot dance floor, two full bars, dining room, and a private VIP lounge. On Thursday, March 11, the Conga Room will be hosting a party honoring all the local radio personalities from public broadcasting radio in Los Angeles. More on this event next month.
