Great job on the articles about the slow, bleeding death of Denver's daily newspapers (Allied newspapers, warring newsrooms," Robert Schwab, June, and "Newspaper free-for-all," Schwab, July.) But the answer is much worse than your description. The fact is there is no longer a growing market for their product, even giving it away free. Generations X & Y have no interest in getting their hands dirty from cheap ink, which is 99.9 percent useless to anybody in today's world. Both papers sell yesterday's news, along with whining, negative crap fewer people want to waste time reading.
