In early 2020, as the world was beginning to come to grips with the reality of the pandemic, a trio of college students--who had first-hand experience with COVID--saw how quickly the virus spread through their campus. Deciding to take action, they conceived the idea to harness the germ-fighting properties of copper to create an anti-microbial surface on something that we touch countless times a day--our cell phones.
