The No. 1 company in the annual ColoradoBiz Top 100 Woman-Owned Companies ranking based on revenues is also the largest employer. Ralph Schomp Automotive, headed up by CEO Lisa Schomp, posted sales of $250.6 million last year, a 6 percent increase over 2009. The Littleton-based company, now in it's 70th year, employs 370.

The best year-over-year revenue growth for firms in at least their third year was turned in by Allonhill, a third-party reviewer of mortgage loans. Founded by Sue Allon three years ago, the Denver-based firm generated sales of $18.1 million last year, up from the $4 million it posted in 2009, representing a 352 percent increase.

Business in this year's ranking hail from 28 Colorado cities.
