The @OurFranchise campaign made tour stops at MOOYAH Burgers, Walk-On's, Smoothie King and Sport Clips during a tour in November through New Orleans.
Leading into I FA's Emerging Franchisor Conference (EFC), the @OurFranchise Tour in November visited franchise businesses around New Orleans, La. The tour is part of an IFA campaign launched in mid-2016 that seeks to spread stories about the positive impacts of the franchise business model on local communities. New Orleans was the fifth stop on the tour that travelled to Colorado, Illinois, Virginia and Texas in recent months. According to IFA data, Louisiana is home to more than 1,000 franchises state-wide, supporting 115,900 jobs.
IFA President & CEO Robert Cresanti, CFE, kicked off the New Orleans tour with a reception at Dat Dog that was open to EFC attendees as well. The next morning marked the start of tour stops with Cresanti and IFA staff to MOOYAH Burgers, Fries and Shakes, Walk-On's Bistreaux & Bar, Smoothie King and Sport Clips Haircuts. Cresanti asked a series of questions to owners and employees based around how the franchise business model is impacting the local area.
"Most importantly, franchising has given us more exposure in our community and put us in a better position to give back to the city we love," said Khai Duong, a MOOYAH franchisee.
