The ABA Marketing Network Advertising Awards, now in its 32nd year, has gained nationwide recognition as the premier advertising competition in the financial services industry. The competition offers bank marketers and their advertising agencies an opportunity to gain recognition, increase their visibility and add to their credibility within the marketplace. And, because the entries are judged in four asset categories, your entry is competing with entries from similarly-sized organizations. Don't miss the opportunity to join financial institutions of all sizes for the 2004 competition.

The ABA Marketing Network, in partnership with the American Bankers Association, brings financial and marketing expertise together, giving bank marketers the expertise, contacts, and ideas they need to succeed. The Network's annual competition has been heralded by industry experts and advertising executives as the foremost competition of its kind, dedicated to recognizing innovation and creativity in the financial services industry.

The Awards

The ABA Marketing Network Certificate of Excellence Award will he given to winning entries in the following categories: Television, Radio, Print, Outdoor, Website/E-Commerce, Direct Mail, Public Relations and Multimedia. In addition, the Best-of-the-Best Award is given to the category winner demonstrating unparalleled creativity and excellence in execution.

Note: Awards will be presented to actual entrants. Additional awards may be ordered.

Eligibility

Financial institutions (including banks, savings and loans, trust companies, savings banks, insurance companies, brokerage firms, investment firms, and credit card companies), their advertising agencies, and ABA service members may submit materials. Entries must have been published or aired for the first time between January 1, 2003, and December 31, 2003. No syndicated programs are eligible.

Judging

A panel of experts from the financial services advertising and marketing field will judge all entries. These entries will be reviewed with the following criteria:

* Originality of creative concept

* Execution of production

* Fulfillment of stated objectives

* Asset size:

--under $250 million

--$250 million-$1 billion

--$1 billion-$5 billion

--over $5 billion

How to Enter/Competition Rules

* For each entry in all categories, you must attach a copy of the entry form--minus payment information--to the back of each piece submitted.

* A statement of objectives describing your entry and its goals must be included for each entry, and must be 50 words or less.

* Award entries will be judged in your asset categories.
