Open Systems Inc., a provider of business management and accounting software for mid-sized companies, has announced the release of OSAS 7.0. The Minneapolis-based company calls the product "the first step in a major technical transition for this product line. Like prior versions of OSAS, it offers a BBx[R] language implementation, but it also offers a new Java-based BBj implementation that allows our users to take advantage of the opportunities inherent in Java."
