Only one bank received more in federal bailout money than Charlotte-based Bank of America during the most recent financial crisis. Much of BofA's aid came through the Term Auction Facility, created to allow banks to access funding anonymously through bids, and the Asset Guarantee Program, aimed at distressed assets held by "systemically significant financial institutions."
