Drake Beam Morn, which has a Salt Lake City office, released figures this summer that show more companies are getting wired in their approach to employee training. The concept is called e-Learning and attendees at the latest American Society of Training and Development Conference affirm that it's taking hold both in the boardroom and the training room.

"Lifelong learning is becoming a critical element of organizational success," says Brad Burgess, who works in Drake Beam Morin's Utah office on Decker Lake Drive. "With flatter organizational structures and increased employee workloads, the timeliness and cost associated with training have become real issues for business.

"Companies need to ensure that their employees have the knowledge and skills they need, when and where the business needs them, and e-Learning provides an effective solution -- while not sacrificing quality."
