Go Wisconsin! I live in California and have been reading the news from Madison since this battle began. It's so uplifting to watch 70,000 people protesting at the state capitol.

Amazing! I've read the recall is going well and I'm hoping the people continue. It's truly unbelievable what Walker is trying to accomplish on the backs of middle class and the poor.

Thanks to unions, a person without a college education can make a decent living, and maybe send a kid to college.

I'll continue to read about Wisconsin because as we all know, this is just the start. If Governor Walker wins this fight, we all lose.

What spirit! Go Wisconsin!

OK, as a state worker, one who is still standing, still in the building--although about 75 percent of my friends are retired or just ran out the door--I can agree with most of what you said, and still object to the tone ("Dogging Walker," by Matthew Rothschild, June issue).

I, in fact, advocated a general strike, but this is America and we are not likely to do that.

I have to find hope in our legal cases and the moral rudders of many Wisconsinites who know better than to abuse the elderly and disabled, and to not educate most of our children.

We did not see this coming, and we were complacent. Watching a baby stroller get ripped apart and searched at the state capitol regalvanized and reenergized me for struggles...
