THE OAS INTER-AMERICAN Drug Abuse Control Commission (CICAD) and Spain's National Drug Plan have signed an agreement with eight Spanish and Latin American universities to launch an on-line master's program in the prevention and treatment of drug addiction.

The program, which will get under way in October, "will undoubtedly help provide our countries with the human capital needed for the first line of action in drug demand-reduction," Secretary General Cesar Gaviria said.
