As a Chicagoan, I dread the Olympics coming to the Windy City. Dave Zirin gives some compelling reasons why this sporting extravaganza should not be held ("Olympic Ruin," by Dave Zirin, April issue).

In addition, whenever people talk about boycotting the Olympics in Beijing due to the crackdown on Tibetans protesting Chinese rule, or based on other arbitrary arrests and human rights violations, they should also be talking about Chicago being denied its bid to host the 2016 Olympics due to the Iraq War.
