I was pleased to see the article about breastfeeding legislation across the country in your April edition of State Legislatures. But I was disappointed that you omitted the breastfeeding legislation currently being debated in Ohio.

Last year, the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld Wal-Mart's policy prohibiting women from breastfeeding in the stores' public areas. The court ruled that this policy did not amount to sex discrimination under Ohio law. Fortunately, Wal-Mart has since changed its policy to allow breastfeeding in its stores.
