Motions for Remittitur and Additur
· In civil cases a party may move for additur and remittitur of the verdict under Rule 78.10 within the time prescribed by Rule 78.04 for filing a motion for new trial.
· The appellate court will not reverse a trial court decision to order remittitur unless it finds an abuse of discretion. Kyrsa v. Payne, 176 S.W.3d 150 (Mo. App. W.D. 2005).
