President Obama reminds me of a 1954 Buick with its dynaflow transmission. In 1958, when I got my driver's license, the guys in my 'hood used to refer to '54 Buicks as all-show-no-go. Nobody disputed the looks of the car, nor the luxury, nor the power of the eight-cylinder engine. But if you wanted a car to race, you wouldn't want an all-show-no-go dynaflow Buick; it just didn't get off the line quick enough.
