The FTB announced it received 645,000 personal income tax e-file tax returns, a new single-day record, on April 15. This translates to almost 500 e-file tax returns received per minute. In a three-day peak from April 14-16, the FTB received more than 1.7 million personal e-file tax returns. To date, the FTB has received 13.2 million personal e-file tax returns, 4.5 percent more than last season. Also, the FTB received 165,000 fiduciary e-file tax returns, 75 percent more than last season's volume, also surpassing the total fiduciary tax returns filed for 2013.
