INSTRUCTIONS TO CONTRIBUTORS
Address correspondence regarding contributions to the Quarterly to Editors, Politi-
cal Research Quarterly, Department of Political Science , University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ
85721. Please submit four (4) copies of a manuscript to be considered for publication,
accompanied by an abstract (150 words). All manuscripts should be double-spaced, in-
cluding quotations and references, using a reasonable margin. Title, subtitles, and text
subheadings should be succinct. Articles should not exceed 30 pages. Because the manu-
scripts are sent out anonymously for evaluation, the author’s (authors’) name and affilia-
tion should be typed on a separate page. All references identifying the author(s) should be
removed from the manuscript and typed separately The Political Research Quarterly fol-
lows the APSA style manual; authors should consult the manual or recent numbers of the
Quarterly. Manuscripts accepted for publication, including tables, charts, and graphs, should
be printed clearly, using a laser printer if possible. Tables should be separately typed with
their positions indicated in the manuscript. Camera-ready artwork in final form is re-
quired (page size is 4 1/2 inches wide by 7 1/4 inches long or 27 x 43 picas). Page proofs
will be supplied to the first author of a paper, but only errors in typesetting may be cor-
