Notice of by-law amendment.

In accordance with Section 2, Article XIII, of the By-Laws of the International Association of Defense Counsel, Geoffrey S. Race, Secretary-Treasurer of the Association, hereby gives notice that the following amendment to Section 2, Article III, of the Association By-Laws has been proposed and will be voted on during the Association's Annual Meeting, on July 8, 2000, at The Greenbrier, White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia:

Amend Section 2, Article III, of the International Association of Defense Counsel By-Laws by striking the language indicated:

Section 2. Nomination and Election of Members. Membership in this Association shall be by invitation only, and such nominations for membership shall be made by a member of the Association. Every nomination for membership shall be submitted to the Association headquarters or to such person as the Executive Committee may direct, in writing, in such form and shall contain such information as the Executive Committee from time to time by resolution shall require; shall be signed by the nominee and accompanied by appropriate written documentation signed by the nominator and by...
