Notes to tables
e present notes to the statistical tables are both general and not notes to the items carrying an asterisk (). In
several of the time series, there are sometimes revisions to the previous month’s data. ese are not footnoted.
A number of countries do not publish monthly gures, or publish them only aer long delays. Consequently year
averages are used in s everal of the se ries for many of the monthly gures shown, or, in the cur rent calendar year,
estimatesbasedonthepreviousyear.
Source of the data onthe UK in tables 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 12 is Energy Trends, adapted and reproduced withper mission
of the Controller of HMSO.

eration for ownuse; Venezuela: national grid only.
e data series for Pakistan in table 7d was sub-
stantially revised in September 2012 (Vol37 Issue
9).
Datafor Other Europe for the period October 2011
to September 2012 (Vol. 37 Iss. 2-12) has been
revised from Vol. 38 Iss 1.
Data forVenezuela was revised in September 2015,
creating a discontinuitywith the series before Jan-
uary 2013.
