NOTE FROM THE MANAGING EDITOR
NOTE FROM THE MANAGING EDITOR OF VOLUME 53
With the beginning of Volume 53 of FCR, I am excited to introduce our newest members. Each
year, the law students at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University compete for a
position with FCR. This year, we have accepted twenty students to join FCR as junior staff members
and help contribute to the production of the journal. Each student has contributed extensive time and
unwavering effort to ensure that Volume 53 follows the continued success of past volumes.
I am indebted to the FCR senior staff of Volume 52 for helping me transition into the role of
managing editor for the current volume. Assuming the position of managing editor has been a
challenging, yet unbelievably rewarding experience. I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity
to work with the best advocates in the field of family law.
Furthermore, without the help of last year’s junior staff editors—who have now been promoted to
senior editorial positions—this issue would not have been possible. I would also like to thank
Professor Schepard for working with the FCR staff to produce some very interesting student Notes for
publication in this and future issues.
Last, but certainly not least, on behalf of our editorial staff, I would like to sincerely thank the
AFCC for the opportunity to produce FCR and to continue working with such an incredible associa-
tion. We are proud to present Volume 53, Number 1 and look forward to those issues yet to come.
