ANOTE FROM THE EDITOR

It is with great sadness that I note the passing of our colleague, Harris Schlesinger,

who has served as a coeditor of the Journal since 2013. Harris confronted many health

challenges over the past several years, but his formidable intellectual talents were in

evidence throughout these ordeals. Harris was a terrific colleague, a wonderful

mentor to generations of students, a source of inspiration for the profession, and his

service to the Journal was beyond exemplary. His is a legacy of enduring value, and

he will be greatly missed.

I am pleased to announce that Christian Gollier, until recently the Director of the

Toulouse School of Economics, will be joining the Journal as a coeditor in 2016.

Christian has compiled a remarkable and influential record of accomplishment in risk

management and insurance, and his intellectual skills and judgment will be

invaluable assets to the Journal.
