Who says you have to show up in a tux or a long frilly dress?

Prom night will be a night to remember ... but how?

High school's equivalent of the Oscars or the Grammys has always been the big night--a night to go all out and a time to dress to impress.

But if different people have different styles every other day of the year, why should everyone wear the same black tux and white dress on prom night?

If you're casting about for an alternative prom look, here are a few ideas.

Gothic
