Not false church.

As a faithful member of The Falls Church since 1982, I feel compelled to comment on your article ("Evangelical Elitists" by Ayelish McGarvey, December 2004). While it is true that we have attracted a large number of new members to our congregation because we are an intellectual evangelical church, not all of the liberals have departed. We nonconservatives remain, small in number but mighty in will, as the larger drama plays out in our local church, the Diocese of Virginia, and the national Church.

Among the congregants you will find Democrats and liberals as well as the conservative Republicans. At the 9 o'clock "blended service," we sing out of hymn books with a robed choir...
