To determine where the game always is on regardless of season, WalletHub compared over 420 small to large cities across more than 50 key metrics. The data set ranges from performance level of the city's team(s) to average ticket price per game.

Starting from No. 1, the 10 best large sports cities are Boston, Mass.; New York; Los Angeles, Calif.; Pittsburgh, Pa.; Chicago, III.; Philadelphia, Pa.; Detroit, Mich.; and Dallas, Texas, and Atlanta, Ga. (a tie).
