On December 6, twenty-five U.S. Christians set out on a fifty-mile walk from Santiago, Cuba, toward the U.S. detention facilities at Guantanamo Bay. In a press statement, they said they were walking "in the nonviolent tradition of Dorothy Day and the Catholic Worker" and that they wanted to "defend human dignity" in what they called a "Witness Against Torture."
