NSSF APPOINTS BOARD OF GOVERNORS MEMBER

The NSSF board of governors has announced Tom Taylor, SIG SAUER CMO and EVP, commerical sales, as its newest member. Prior to joining SIG in March 2015, he served as SVP of sales and marketing at Mossberg, VP of marketing and product development at Smith & Wesson and SVP at Remington/Freedom Group.

Taylor was part of the group that founded Honored American Veterans Afield (HAVA) in 2007; he still serves on a volunteer basis as chairman and executive director. He has also served on the International Hunter Education Association foundation board of directors.

VIRIDIAN ADDS SALES MANAGER

Viridian Weapon Technologies has announced the addition of Kevin Skalicky as national sales manager. Skalicky will oversee the implementation of the FACT Duty Weapon-Mounted Camera (WMC) with L.E. agencies and manage strategic accounts in the U.S. He most recently served as a strategic account professional for AcuSport Corp.

President and CEO Brian Hedeen said, "Kevin will be a key player as we continue to expand our FACT WMC programs and bring the technology to agencies nationwide."

SIG SAUER HIRES MEDIA RELATIONS DIRECTOR

SIG SAUER has welcomed Joel Harris as director of media relations and communication. He is responsible for managing all aspects of media relations as well as SIG SAUER's shooting sports initiatives and Team SIG. Harris has 20 years of industry experience in public relations, marketing and sales. As the inventor of patents in both the shooting sports and archery industries, he also has product development and product management experience.

"I've had the pleasure of working for some of the industry's biggest brands, both domestically and internationally--working for the iconic SIG SAUER brand is definitely the pinnacle of my career," Harris said.

Dale Douglas has joined Nexus Outdoors as SVP of product development. He leads sourcing, technology and product strategies for all brands. Douglas brings over 24 years of experience as director, merchandise manager, product and category manager, and senior manager of global sourcing of hunting apparel for Cabela's.

Kevin Strong has accepted the position of national sales manager. Strong is responsible for all revenue generation for the recently acquired Blocker Outdoors brand portfolio across all channels and market.
