Rocco Dodson Retires from MVL Board
Metro Volunteer Lawyers hosted a lively sendoff party for retiring board member Rocco Dodson on March 7 at die CBA offices. Rocco served on the MVL board for many years, devoting much of his time to pro bono causes and giving back to the community.
Larimer County Bar Visit
CBA President John Vaught and Colorado Supreme Court Justice Nathan B. Coats met with members of the Larimer County Bar Association on March 1 to promote community connections and legal growth. The lunchtime visit was part of the LCBA's Spring Term Day festivities.
Former CBA President Speaks at ABA Conference
Patricia Jarzobski spoke at the ABA Bar Leadership Institute in Chicago on March 13. She served on a panel with four other leading lawyers to discuss how bar leaders can make diversity matter in their organizations. The Bar Leadership Institute provides presidents-elect and other officers on the presidential track with techniques and skills essential to bar leadership.
Boulder County Justice For All Ball
The Boulder County Bar Foundation hosted the 2019 Justice For All Ball on Saturday, March 9, at The Studio (Boulder). Seventeen years ago, the Boulder County Bar Association started the Food Wine Jazz Art fundraiser to benefit Colorado Legal Services. While the event was a success, budget cuts prompted the BCBA to expand and rebrand the fundraiser as the Boulder County Justice For All Ball in 2018. The event is geared toward the legal community, but now includes partners, clients, and friends. This year's event featured a silent auction and music and dancing led by the Diamond Orchestra.
Center for Legal Inclusiveness Ball for All
The C enter for Legal Inclusiveness held its fifth annual Ball for All gala on March 5 at McNichols Event Center. Winners of CLI's Inclusiveness@Work awards were Janus Henderson Investors in the "Business" category; Hernandez & Associates, P.C. in the "Law Firm" category; Colorado Pledge to Diversity in the "Nonprofit"...
