DBA YLD Roll Out the Barrels Food Drive Reception

On August 22, the Denver Bar Association Young Lawyers Division held its annual reception for the winners of the Roll Out the Barrels food drive at Briar Common Brewery + Eatery. This benefit initiative challenges law firms to compete for the highest food and financial donations to benefit Metro Caring, whose mission is to provide nutritious food to hungry families and individuals while promoting self-sufficiency. This year's winners were:

68th Annual Tax Institute

John Wilson of Holland & Hart LLP and Mark Hrenya of Hrenya Senatore LLP were among presenters at the 68th Annual Tax Institute this July. Hosted by the Denver Tax Institute, the event features tax experts from around the nation discussing recent developments that present challenges and opportunities for tax clients. Wilson and Hrenya led a breakout section on international tax developments, focusing on international provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

Retirement Party for CBA and DBA Deputy Executive Director Greg Martin

On July 25, the CBA held a reception at its offices for retiring Deputy Executive Director (DED) Greg Martin. Martin served as DED of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations for over 20 years, and bar members and staff from the past two decades gathered to celebrate his career and contributions.
