Local Bar Presidential Visits

"Gracious hospitality and wonderful lawyers" were CBA President Dick Cast's impressions of his August visit to the Southwestern Colorado Bar Association in Durango and the Four Corners Bar Association in Cortez. Longtime CBA Ethics Committee member Phil James provided a terrific ethics CLE presentation, and CBA Deputy Executive Director Greg Martin updated attendees on the practical benefits of CBA membership. For Gast, the highlight of these visits was the opportunity to hear, firsthand, what it's like to practice law in that part of our state.

Celebrating a successful partnership with Metro Caring.

DBA YLD Champions Food Drive for Metro Caring

In July, the DBA Young Lawyers Division hosted its popular Barristers After Hours at the ViewHouse in Denver. More than 30 young lawyers attended this service-oriented networking event. The DBA YLD's food drive for Metro Caring collected 4,700 pounds of non-perishable food items for those in need throughout the metro Denver area. The following lawfirms were recognized at the event for collecting the most items:

2017 COBALT Class

The CBA's leadership training program (COBALT) has continued to raise the bar for leadership and professionalism in Colorado.
