TCL Advisory Board Members Recognized for Their Service

Marcy Glenn, Ron Sandgrund, and Leonard Frieling were recognized for their years of service to the TCL Advisory Board at a meeting at the CBA offices on April 27. CBA President Patricia Jarzobski applauded their work during a period that witnessed the redesign of the publication. More information about the redesign, which launches next month, can be found on page 5.

Legal Aid Foundation El Paso Donor Event

The Legal Aid Foundation’s El Paso County Campaign Committee held its annual donor appreciation reception on February 16 at Jack Quinn’s Irish Pub and Restaurant in Colorado Springs. Approximately 60 guests enjoyed delicious refreshments while listening to a legal aid client’s testimonial of the positive impact that legal services had on her life. Colorado Supreme Court Justice William Hood III thanked the benefactors in El Paso County who have supported legal aid over the years. The reception was generously sponsored by Hogan Lovells.

2017 Colorado Supreme Court Pro Bono Recognition Ceremony and Reception

On April 13, the Colorado Supreme Court recognized those law firms, solo practitioners, in-house counsel, and government groups that achieved their goal of providing 50 hours of pro bono legal services in a given year. Justice William Hood III and CBA Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year Clarissa M. Collier spoke on the importance of pro bono work in facilitating access to justice.

DBA YLD Hosts Barristers After Hours at the Rackhouse Pub
