RB American Group, a subsidiary of Flynn Restaurant Group, has acquired 368 Arby's locations from United States Beef Corporation. The acquisition represents Flynn's fourth major restaurant brand including Panera, Applebee's, and Taco Bell.

Authority Brands has acquired Mosquito Squad, marking its second brand acquisition since October 2018, when it purchased America's Swimming Pool Company. Mosquito Squad has more than 250 franchisees in the U.S., Kenya, Indonesia, and Puerto Rico. Authority Brands will now own at least 750 locations globally.

Inspire Brands has completed its acquisition of Sonic Corp. for $2.3 billion. Sonic joins Inspire's portfolio of restaurants including Arby's, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Rusty Taco. Claudia San Pedro will act as president for Sonic, and Cliff Hudson, former Chairman and CEO of Sonic, will act as a Senior Advisor until March 2019 for transition purposes.

Golden Corral received the 2018 President's Veterans Recognition Award from Coca-Cola. Golden Corral won the award for its support of the U.S. armed forces, veterans and their families. The franchise brand recently completed fundraising for Disabled American Veterans (DAV) that totaled more than $1.3 million. Additionally, the company hosted 300,000 active duty and retired service members for free meals. Golden Corral also founded Camp Corral, a free summer camp for children of wounded, injured, ill, or fallen military service people.

Neighborly has awarded three recipients its Spring

2019 Women in the Trades

Scholarship. Each of the three women will receive $1,500 to pursue degrees from technical or trade schools. The recipients for Spring 2019 are:

* Jamie Crockett from Powder Springs, Ga., pursuing a career in auto glass replacement and repair.

* Felicia Jones of Paradise, Newfoundland and Labrador, pursuing a career in restoration.

* Sheri Zehm of Milwaukee, Wis., pursuing a career in appliance repair.

Chop Stop has signed new franchise deals in California, Texas and Las Vegas that will lead to the opening of 16 new locations. These deals will represent Chop Stop's first-time entry into Texas and Nevada, with the first unit planned for opening in San Antonio, Texas in 2019. Five locations are under construction in Southern California with opening dates planned for the first half of 2019.
