Suzanne Greco is retiring as CEO of Subway on June 30. She started working for the company in 1973 as a sandwich artist, and has been involved with the family business since the first store opened in 1965. Greco is the sister of the late Subway founder Fred DeLuca. Prior to taking on the role of CEO in 2015, Greco was part of Subway's Research & Development team for more than two decades, and was promoted to lead the group as Vice President of Operations and Research & Development in 2013. Subway Chief Business Development Officer Trevor Haynes began serving as interim CEO in early May. After she retires, Greco will continue serving as Senior Advisor to the company.
The Dwyer Group has awarded Women in the Trade Scholarships for the fall 2018 semester. Launched in 2012 by Dina Dwyer-Owens, CFE and Dwyer Group, the program awards seven women with a $1,500 scholarship. The fall 2018 scholarship recipients are:

United Franchise Group has received the President's "E" Award for Exports from U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross. The President's "E" Award is the highest recognition that any United States entity can receive for its significant contributions to the expansion of U.S. exports. Ross presented the award to United Franchise Group CEO Ray Titus and International Director and Executive Vice President Tipton Shonkwiler during a May 21 ceremony.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe has inked a franchise development agreement to expand its presence in Indiana. The brand's existing franchisees, David and Ruth Buko, alongside first-time Tropical Smoothie Cafe franchisee James Volpert, will be developing eight cafes throughout the Indianapolis area.
Gold's Gym opened 12 new gyms in domestic and international markets during first quarter 2018. Seven new international Gold's Gym locations include four gyms in India, two in Saudi Arabia, and one in Japan.
