As a follow up to your article "Ignition Interlocks Keep Drunks From Driving" in the February issue of State Legislatures, I wanted to inform you that the New York Legislature passed a law last year, which I sponsored, that would use ignition interlocks to keep drunk drivers off our roadways.

As part of the law, aggravated DWI offenders will be required to have ignition interlocks installed in their vehicles as a condition of their probation.
