New Station Park restaurant serves up homemade fruit cobblers.

Farmington -- A little over a year ago, as Steve Kimball sat around the dinner table with his family eating cobbler for dessert, family members started commenting on how good the recipe was and how they should open a fruit cobbler restaurant. At the time they were just joking around, but fast forward to just over a year later and the family's joke has become a reality.

"I had a great job building some of America's biggest buildings--even locally [in Utah] with the Maverik Center and the Huntsman Cancer Institute--but I started asking myself why cobbler had never been franchised like ice cream or other dessert products," says Kimball.

That's when Kimball, who currently lives in California but is a Utah native, decided to leave his job in the construction industry and open COBBLER COVE, a dessert restaurant in STATION PARK in Farmington that serves up a variety of homemade fruit cobblers.

"Utah is one of the best states to start a business and it's the dessert capital of the world," Kimball says. "What better place to open a dessert restaurant than in Utah?"
